I just released a new CommandUI version that adds a massive amount of new functionality while I wait on some more feedback on the licensing/update system.
1.0.0-rc.3 should be available already in your account area.
First Class Elementor Support
This was highly requested:
You can now edit any custom post type in Elementor directly from within CUI (same as with Bricks).
This is deeply integrated with Elementor, so it will only be enabled for post types where Elementor is enabled, and it also respects Elementor's access permissions (Role Manager).
Support Searching Private, Draft, and Scheduled Posts
CUI now queries any post status (besides trashed).
Even Tighter Bricks Builder Integration
For every single page/post/CPT that Bricks renders, you can now see exactly which Bricks Templates were used to render the final output and immediately jump to edit it.
This includes inline templates, popups, 404 pages, headers, footer, etc.
Available contextually everywhere you can imagine:
Deep-Search Integration for Elementor, LS Cache, and Yoast SEO
CUI already allowed searching into every tab on setting pages, for WooCommerce and Bricks Builder.
Examples:
Yoast
LS Cache
Contextual Post Type Creation
CommandUI now keeps track of where you're at, and if you're on any page that is associated with a post type, the "Create" shortcut will bring the post type up first. This means, that if you're on the posts list, hitting "c" + "Enter" will immediately create a new post.
The below example is on the Elementor templates overview page. "Create" brings up Elementor Template as the first result.
The below example is from editing a post in Gutenberg. "Create" brings up "Post" as the first result.
The below example is from viewing a page in the frontend. "Create" brings up "Page" as the first result.
Bonus: Hide The Admin Bar in the Frontend.
Hear me out... You don't need the admin bar anymore. It's just noise and distraction. Especially as more and more plugins compete for admin bar real estate for their "important" notifications.
You can now hide the admin bar just for your browser in the frontend.
That's all for now, I hope this release gives a good impression of where things are headed 😉
If you haven't already, please leave your feedback for the license management.
Best,
Calvin
