Command Prompt Triggers Inadvertently In Etch

I am using the Etch Builder on my new website, and I cannot use CommandUI because when I am in the builder, any time I press teh 'e' key, the command promtp comes up. I have tried disabling all keyboard shortcuts, but it still happens. Needless to say, this makes typing anything pretty laborious.

For now, while I investigate, you could Disable Global Shortcuts. Then pressing e does nothing in CommandUI. Inside the internal settings inside CUI

Calvin Alkan I am using Etch now as well. I tried disabling the Global Shortcuts, and I couldn't get it to disable, even after reloading the page. I then tried remapping the keyboard shortcut from CMD K to Option K, and that allowed me to use the shortcuts in Etch, but the Option K shortcut did not work to bring up CommandUI. However, pressing the space bar twice allowed me to bring up CommandUI. I think it would be great if CommandUI could integrate with Etch since they both use the same shortcut. Am I doing something wrong with changing the shortcut to Option K, and it is not working for CommandUI? I use blueprint websites. Can I set it up where the default shortcut is Option K so it doesn't interfere with my Etch sites and so I don't have to change the settings every time?

Do you mean Shift? Shift+Shift is the secondary way for opening; space+space would be news to me.

Option+k should work fine; what I assume is happening is, Etch is bound to both option + k and cmd+k?

Just to quickly test this, you could try some other key, like cmd+y, or something?

That's not easily possible right now, since the settings are actually stored in your browser, per site, and not globally in CommandUI/WordPress. The preferences/settings are per user, not global right now.

Regarding integration with Etch, what would you expect? Should CommandUI prevent Etch's cmd+k, or?

I am sorry. Yes, I did mean that Shift Shift is working.

I tried using Option + K and it doesn't do anything before me changing the keyboard shortcut or after me changing the keyboard shortcut. I tried cmd+y and it worked. I then tried option+y and it didn't work. I can't seem to get anything with the option key to work for keyboard shortcuts. By the way, I tried the keyboard shortcut control+y and it worked as well. So not a big deal that option+y doesn't seem to work or anything with the option key really. Just thought I would let you know.

Any chance the settings for CommandUI to be stored in Wordpress in the future to allow for blueprint sites and settings to carry over? I didn't know if that has some downsides as well instead of how it is currently setup.

I like that Etch has it's own intereface shortcuts I guess as well. It does make building out sites faster. It may just be better to keep them separate, but there are some duplicate functionality so I thought it would be convenient to have them integrate, but may be better to be separate.For example, I can navigate to different pages in the Etch shortcut and also in the CommandUI shortcut as well.
